Virtus Studios are recruiting!
Virtus Studios currently has numerous projects in active development however the main one being "Network", We are currently looking for people with the same passion to create and strive to make the best games possible. We currently have a few open positions available which you can check below and see the basic guidelines before applying.

What can we offer you?
We are currently working with a royalty based compensation model, that said we can't necessarily compensate you upfront for your work however we we can guarantee you a position on our fast paced, passionate, experienced team whilst working with us which offers experience, a good reference/portfolio piece, contacts, support to break into the industry and royalty based compensation upon completion of the project.

We currently have a relatively large team with 20+ professional, passionate individuals who all strive to create the best content  and a well organised, efficient team structure utilizing a variety of tools allowing for high quality content production within the team and we would love you to join our ranks. Below I have compiled a list of all of our positions, keep in mind if you are interested in a position that is not currently listed below you can still apply and will and will be taken into consideration on a case to case basis.

What are we looking for?
3D Environmental Artists -  PRIORITY
  • Knowledge of UDK and the Material Editor.
  • Must be capable of modeling from reference or conceptual art whilst maintaining the style.
  • Must be able to create both detailed models and textures including diffuse, spec, normal, emmisive and alpha.
  • Must be able to work well with scaling and modularity.
  • A fine eye for detail.
  • Must have the ability to rig and animate characters, weapons and various environmental objects/props.
  • Must have the ability to produce high quality animations.
  • Knowledge of animation/anim tree usage inside of UDK.
Level Designer
  • Must have the ability to create detailed, clear level design plans around given requirements.
  • Must have the ability to show a good understanding of multiplayer level flow alongside being able to demonstrate it.
  • The applicant must have clear, concise communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
  • Plausible knowledge of UDK's editor and all of it's tools.
  • Must be confident with the material editor.
  • Understanding of the 3D art pipeline with emphasis on the asset importation process inside of UDK.
  • Ability to take critiques and then make changes to their level/plan based on the feedback given.
  • Ability to easily communicate and work with other team members whilst working on levels such as environmental artists, concept artists etc...
  • Must be capable of producing an array of different videos (with content provided) such as trailers, cinematics, update videos, intros and outros.
  • Ability to work with industry standard video editing software such as Adobe after effects or Sony vegas.
  • Must show a portfolio or previous work at a high standard.
  • The VFX editor must be able to complete work within a reasonable amount of time to deadlines with the given materials and guidelines.
Cascade/Special FX Artist
  • Must be able to create realistic particle system and visual effects including explosions, muzzle flashes,steam and other required particle systems.
  • Be able to work and demonstrate previous work with UDK and cascade.
  • Access and experience with unreal engine 4.
  • Must have a good understanding of blueprints and the general C++ to UE4 editor workflow.
  • Good knowledge in one of the other OOP languages such as C#, Java etc.
  • Good understanding of replication and have the ability to implement it into work inside of unreal engine 4.
  • Unrealscript knowledge is a plus but not required.
Weapon Modeler - PRIORITY
  • Must be able to easily create both low poly and high poly weapon models.
  • Be able to create both models for weapons alongside textures used..
  • Rigging and animation skill is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work from a reference/concept art alongside guidelines and critiques from the team.
3D Character Artist
  • Must be able to easily create both low poly and high poly character models.
  • Ability to work from conceptual art and reference images.
  • Rigging and animation skill is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to optimize and texture quality character models around the needs of the team.
Concept Artist PRIORITY
  • Must be able to work with a given art style and easily capture the atmosphere.
  • Ability to create unique and high quality concept art.
  • Easily work within a team and their workflow.
Web Designer/Developer PRIORITY
  • Must have a good understanding of the web development pipeline from design to functionality.
  • Must be able to show previous web design/development work.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and have the ability to work around a given style/theme.
  • Easily work within a large team 20+ and have the ability to work around their feedback and guidelines.
  • Ability to produce both the graphic design side of web development alongside functionality in the form of any required web oriented code to bring it all together.
